DR. PAUL KURIHARA, DC
At age 14 I hurt my neck doing squats. The bar rolled onto my neck area and I felt a “pop”. I did not have pain at first but after I finished working out I started to have a headache and felt numbness down my arm. Several days went by and the migraine got worst, burning pain going down my right and left arm and my neck pain increased. I went to a medical doctor, orthopedic doctor and then a neurologist. They all gave me medication and said it would go away. Well, two months later I was still suffering, and then they said nothing was wrong and referred me to a psychiatrist. My mom said “thanks, but no thanks, we will find a better doctor”. I am still grateful to my mother for doing that for me.
The next time we went to a doctor we were in a chiropractic office looking at my x-rays. He said “there’s your problem” and took care of it. As a 14 year old I then realized that medical doctors didn’t know everything or have all the answers.
I love Chiropractics because it gave me hope and saved my life! I get up every morning knowing that we are on a mission to save lives, inform people of better choices and help people to thrive, not just survive!

SUBLUXATION
Subluxations are misalignments of the spinal area that can result in many different ailments including pain, muscle tension, emotional distress, and asthma. His methods will alleviate these symptoms and lead to an overall increase in your health and well-being.
What Makes Us Different?
There are two types of chiropractors. Symptom-based and correction based. Symptom-based take a reactive approach at relieving pain, treatments are often short-term and merely focus on the present illness. Correction based is proactive in illness and injury prevention, by focusing on correcting the problem, rather than just “patching” the symptoms. Relief is long term because proper alignment of the spine is restored. Dr. Kurihara is a Subluxation Correction based chiropractor. The long-term benefits far surpass the temporary relief of symptom-based care.
